Last season we were not able to provide the referee schedule that is required by National.  This season, Luis will conduct Referee training courses.  Each team will have to have a minimum of one parent that volunteers to be a Referee or there games might not be scheduled.

If you have any doubts or concerns about having to officiate games out of your comfort zone... don't worry.  With trained Assistant Referees on the lines, we will have experienced Referees on the pitch.

All new (certified) Referees will receive shorts, shirt(s), whistle and socks.  Returning Referees will be issued flags and any Referee that certifies to a new level of proficiency will receive a new shirt (different color).

This season we will institute the "Green Card" program.  Special cards will be prepared and given to the Referees. The cards will explain that any further misconduct will result in the game being called.  This program is designed to deal with the spectators that are unruly and delaying the game.  A team that is issued a Green Card will lose a point for tournament play.  Game cards will annotate the issuance of the Green Card.

Score cards must be presented to the Referee before the start of the game.  If the cards are not filled out correctly (players in numerical order - first and last name - date and time), the referee should not accept the cards.
