When will my son or daughter be notified by their coach?
Players will be selected for teams in mid-July and your child's coach should contact you within the days immediately before or after August 1. Remember that the coach will use the information that you provided at registration for contact. If you have changed your phone number or address, please advise the Regional Registrar as soon as possible.
When will the schedule be published?
The schedule will be published when the number of teams has been determined. All scheduled games must have certified Referees and if a Referee is not available, a game will not be scheduled.
My son or daughter will not be able to play, can I get a refund?
There are circumstances that require parents to request a refund. A refund will be returned to the parent after a written letter is presented to the Regional Registrar. The letter must state the reason that the refund is being requested. Refunds will not be processed after the first game is played.
Who do I contact if I want to volunteer?
Contact any board member, or leave a message in the guestbook. There are many vacant positions so everyone is encouraged to help our kids!
I saw a coach, referee or parent act improperly towards a child, who should I contact?
The CVPA or the Regional Commissioner should be advised immediately. If there is a violation, immediate action will be taken. Each complaint will be investigated completely. Please do not discuss the actions with other parents. Rumors or false reports can damage the reputation of a coach, referee or volunteer, and cause fear within the Region.
How is the registration fee determined?
First and foremost, none of our volunteers are paid. Hours, days and weeks are donated freely to provide our children with a world class organization. Insurance premiums, uniform and equipment purchases, training costs, field upkeep and operating expenses are determined based on the prior year number of players. The registration fee is then established with an emphasis on early registration.
How can I sponsor a team?
Sponsors are the backbone of our organization. Individuals and businesses that wish to sponsor a team can contact the Regional Treasurer.
How do I apply for a scholarship for my child?
The Regional Board acknowledges that some families cannot afford the registration fee. It is our desire that each child is able to participate. Each case is handled by its own merits. The majority of scholarships are given in return for volunteer help by the parent.
