Got to love the game!
Welcome to our website. Region 827 (Rosamond) as a part of the american youth soccer organization takes pride in offering world class soccer programs that enrich children's lives, based on the following philosophies:
Everyone plays - every player on every team will play at least half of the game.
balanced teams - teams will be comprised of players of equal playing ability.
open registration - children between the ages of 4 and 19 years of age can play in any Region in the organization, regardless of where they live.
positive coaching - certified coaches encourage players to develop skills while having fun!
good sportsmanship - mutual respect and game courtesy is taught at every level.
Parents are encouraged to watch this parent orientation video issued by the National Training staff. The video lasts for about 6 minutes and describes the AYSO philosophies and volunteer opportunities. Click the following link to watch the video. Volunteers Needed - We have more teams than Coaches this year, and less than a third of the Referees that we will need to officiate the games. In accordance with AYSO standards, each team is required to have a certified Coach and each game is required to be officiated by a certified official. Training is free and you will be helping lead our children. Please contact any of the board members if you would be willing to help. Volunteers are also needed to mark the fields, attend the snack bar, game day set up or take down as well as a myriad of administrative tasks. Please consider donating a few minutes or a couple of hours of your time each week.
Coach training for U-6 / U-8 / and U-10 will take place on Monday September 8. The class will start at 5:00 and last until 8:30. The location is the Lancaster National Soccer Training Center which is on 30th Street East between Avenues K and L. For those coaches that need U-12 certification, there will be a class in Phelan on Sunday, September 7. The class will start at 11:00 and last until 4:30.
A Basic Referee certification course will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings (September 15 -17) at the Lancaster National Soccer Training Center which is on 30th Street East between Avenues K and L.
Your child's coach should have contacted you by now, however if you are not contacted call the Regional phone number. As the season starts, we will need the help of new volunteers. To make each Saturday a success takes the help of many people.
The girls U-16 team finished the first half of their season with 3 wins, 2 losses and a tie! Good luck for the rest of the season which will be played on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Good luck to our girls as they represent Rosamond.
